Your big day

Step by Step

A quick guide to our processes; step by step

We figure it’s helpful to know exactly how we go about your stationery, from start to finish

01

The consultation

So, after sieving through the website and getting a feel of what styles suit your preference – we always encourage an initial phone consultation/meeting. It’s essential for us to know who you are, as individuals and as a couple.

This is your big day after all and you want your stationery to set the tone … and for it to epitomise you both and just what your guests can expect from your wedding day.

We can get a feel for what you’re looking for, you can get to know us and how we work, we can look through tonnes of sample invites; the textures of paper, sizes, how it looks when it will arrive through your guest’s letter boxes …

It’s all these little details that may seem insignificant, but we think it’s key to getting off on the right footing. But, if you’re a million miles away, jet setters, or just busy bees – fear not, we’ll figure it out!

02

Initial design concepts

This is the fun bit! After chatting through ideas and options, confirming budgets and costs, we’ll get to work on the first draft.

We’ll ask you for the crucial info and details (don’t worry we have a very user friendly form!) and set about putting everything together into something special. Bringing together all your ideas and influences and combining them with our design instincts… we love this bit!

03

Ammendments & Fine Tuning

We’ll have the overall design in place, and it’s here that we tweak everything so it’s absolutely perfect.

Never be afraid to let us know if you’re unhappy with something or there’s anything you’d like changed, that’s exactly what this part of the process is for.

We limit this step to 2 rounds of amendments before there’s an additional design time charge. We ask you to set aside some time, and really, really go through this with a fine tooth comb, then put a document together, be it long or short of all the changes.

04

Final Proof & Sign Off

It’s time for the final check. We send you a digital proof for you to read over with a fine-tooth comb; dates, spellings, details, this final stage is down to you.

We don’t offer a proofreading service, sadly we’re designers and printers, not copy writers. So please please, read through it all very carefully. When you’re happy, you can officially give us the green light to sign off and we go to print!

05

Production

Once printed, this is the stage where we’re squirrelled away in the studio turning our design into your beautiful finished wedding stationery.

Every corner cut, hole punched, twine knot tied and crease folded is lovingly done by hand, by us.

Whether it’s for 30 or 300 … it’s personally finished down to the very last stage.

This is the longest process of them all, so as you can appreciate time scales will vary depending on what overall style you’ve chosen.

06

Hey presto, job done! (for now)

They’re ready to be delivered!

It’s all lovingly wrapped and packed and shipped out to the destination of your choice ready for you to send to your eagerly awaiting guests.

So, if we’re just at the Save the Date stage – then next comes the Wedding Invitations, and if we have both of those under our belt then it’s time to think about Day Stationery…

Sounds good?

We’d love nothing more than to be a part of your wedding day

Have an idea, a vision or none of that at all? Wondering if we can accommodate you? We’d love to hear from you.
