It was the height of summer at Lapstone Barn…
One of our favourite Cotswold venues, in the heart of the countryside tucked away between Broadway and Chipping Camden;
The setting doesn’t get more perfect.
Lizzie and Tom were a delight to work with, wanting simple luxury for their stationery, but with a touch of something extra special.
Tom is from New Zealand, and it was from here that we designed their bespoke monogram featuring the Koru.
The Koru is a spiral shape, based on the appearance of a new unfurling silver fern frond, it’s a stylised symbol and is one of New Zealand’s most iconic plant species.
When given as a gift, the koru symbolises the start of a new relationship, or new phase in a relationship, as it suggests growth, harmony, and new beginnings.
So, we took this lovely traditional symbol, made it theirs, and carried it Throughout the entire stationery suite.
From the invitations, all the way through the day stationery and even their thank you cards, all featuring our bespoke interpretation of the Koru for this gorgeous couple. Obviously, when you want luxury, hot foiling is often the answer, so we combined a deep navy with a gold foil to create a luxurious and simple finish.
The wedding looked absolutely perfect,
on a beautiful day with a beautiful bride
(and a handsome groom of course!)
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Atkins
