One of our favourite weddings from this year has to be the lovely Georgie and Jacob.
The proposal story is almost certainly the most romantic we here at Retro Press had ever heard of, so we were so excited to be able to be part of this lovely couples Big Day.
On Georgie & Jacobs first date, he was wearing a flamingo print shirt – something I don’t think Georgie will ever let him forget! From then on, the flamingo became somewhat of a ‘thing’ for these two, and when Georgie least expected it, Jacob got down on one knew in front of a commissioned graffiti Flamingo wall – with “Marry Me Georgie” aside it.
How cute is that??!!
So of course, when it came to the Stationery – the flamingo had to be centre stage! Georgie wanted it all to be related and in keeping – blush pink and soft rose colours, with a pop of rose gold foil to bring it all to life.
The Save the Date set the tone for the whole wedding – Luxury paper stock with Rose gold Foiling and a Bespoke wax stamp of the flamingo on the back … Wrapped inside luxury grey envelopes with flamingo envelope liners – just giving their guests a hint of what was to come.
We decided the pocket fold style invitation was a must, with rose gold foiled names, a rose gold foiled flamingo, and rose gold foiled titles for the info sheets, sealed with a rose gold embossed flamingo wax stamp on a velum belly band to hold it all together.
Super Luxury, Super Unique … and Super Cute!
Then for the Day stationery – unsurprisingly – the Flamingo had to feature in almost every element! The name place cards, the menus … the seating plan and table names – you name it – little miss flamingo was there!
We were hugely fortunate to receive some beautiful images from the fab Jodie Hurd Photography of Georgie and Jacobs Big day, showcasing so much of our stationery.
We are so lucky here at Retro Press to work with so many lovely People – And Georgie was no exception.
